This year's CROP Walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 16 at Quiet Waters Park. CROP walkers help fight hunger and provide relief and development assistance in more than 80 countries. CROP walkers help hundreds of villages in Africa to have wells and safe, clean water near their homes.
Last year, Rev. Hamlin of Greenbelt UCC visited Kenya to see for himself the results of the CROP Walk funds. His presentation & slide show was very impressive and we can all be proud of the work being done with CROP funds.
Last year Calvary slipped to second place in fund raising (out of 10 churches). This year we have a new challenge. The Annapolis/South County CROP walkers have challenged the Severna Park CROP walders. With your help we can raise more money than Severna Park!
Please save the date or plan to sponsor a walker for this great cause. Free T-shirts for all walkers. For additional information, contact Linda or Bart Johnson at 410-721-3337, ljohnsonvp@covad.net.
