Winter Relief Shelter at Calvary
October 31-November 7, 2011
Winter Relief is a volunteer-driven shelter for homeless guests which runs from October through April.
About 40 local churches provide shelter between October and April for more than 60 people each week.
Volunteers are needed throughout the week for Calvary's Winter Relief Shelter. Look through the following committees - there is bound to be one that would benefit from your gifts and talents.

Furnish, help prepare and clean up for a 6:00am breakfast each day.
Lunch Committee:
Furnish & help prepare daily lunches for our guests. This can be done at home.

Transport equipment from the previous host church, then set up the equipment in our building. On the final Monday morning. prepare equipment for transportation to the next host church.
Medical Committee:
Help care for the medical needs of our guests.
Hygiene Supplies Committee:
Help collect personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo, and toothpaste). These items are then packaged and distributed to our guests.
Entertainment Committee:
Provides our guests with books and movies
Transportation Committee:
Using the church van, transport our guests from Glen Burnie and to their daily activities. Drivers may need to take people to/from work.
